A Beautiful Wedding Celebration at Galloping Hill, New Jersey
On May 22nd, 2026, I had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of Yvette and Jason at the beautiful Galloping Hill in New Jersey. From emotional family moments to an energetic reception, this wedding had a little bit of everything that makes wedding photography meaningful. As a professional wedding photographer, days like this remind me why documenting real moments will always matter more than simply taking photos.
From the moment I arrived, it was obvious this wasn’t going to be a quiet day. Family members were everywhere helping, laughing, preparing, and creating the kind of atmosphere that immediately tells you this wedding will be filled with emotion.
Getting Ready Before the Wedding Ceremony
The day began with the getting ready portion of the wedding. One detail that immediately stood out was how calm Yvette remained while everything around her became increasingly exciting. Those quieter moments during preparation often create some of the strongest images because they show the transition between anticipation and reality.

After the ceremony, we moved into their photo session, and this is where everything slowed down for a little while.
The property around Galloping Hill provided beautiful locations for portraits, from open landscapes to quiet pathways and sunset lighting. One thing that stood out throughout the session was how natural they were together. Nothing felt forced.
As the evening progressed, we were able to create portraits during blue hour with dramatic skies and darker tones that created a completely different mood compared to the daylight images. Those transitions between daylight and evening often produce some of my favorite wedding photographs.
Cocktail Hour and Reception Celebration
Following the portrait session, guests moved into cocktail hour while conversations, drinks, and celebrations filled the venue.
The reception itself brought a completely different energy. The formal atmosphere quickly disappeared once music started, and the dance floor stayed active for the rest of the night.
One thing I enjoyed documenting was how involved everyone became during the reception. The celebration felt less like a formal event and more like a large family gathering, which always creates stronger and more authentic photographs.
The combination of emotional moments, energetic dancing, family interactions, and spontaneous reactions made the reception a perfect ending to an already incredible wedding day.
