A Romantic Beach Wedding at Pavilion at Sunken Meadow, New York
On June 6th, 2026, I had the opportunity to photograph the beautiful wedding of Clara and Brendan at the stunning Pavilion at Sunken Meadow in New York. As a professional wedding photographer, I am fortunate to witness many incredible celebrations, but this wedding stood out because of its elegant coastal atmosphere, genuine emotions, and the perfect balance between sophistication and simplicity.
From the early morning preparations to the beach ceremony, romantic photo session, and lively reception, every part of the day told a story worth remembering.
Getting Ready Before the Wedding
The day began with the getting ready preparations.
Clara spent the morning at her parents’ home, surrounded by family and the people closest to her. The atmosphere was calm, emotional, and filled with anticipation. As I documented the final details of her wedding dress, bouquet, jewelry, and veil, it was easy to see how much thought had gone into every element of the day.
One of my favorite moments was capturing Clara in the quiet moments before leaving for the ceremony. Those few minutes often become some of the most meaningful images of a wedding day because they reflect the emotions that words cannot always describe.
Meanwhile, Brendan prepared at the venue with his groomsmen. The energy was completely different but equally memorable. There was plenty of laughter, excitement, and anticipation as everyone got ready for the celebration ahead.

A Beautiful Beach Ceremony at Sunken Meadow
The ceremony took place directly on the beach at Pavilion at Sunken Meadow, with the Atlantic Ocean providing a breathtaking backdrop.
The ceremony setup was elegant and timeless, featuring natural floral arrangements and a beautiful wooden arch that blended perfectly with the coastal scenery. Guests gathered on the sand as Clara made her entrance, creating one of the most emotional moments of the day.
Watching Clara and Brendan exchange vows beside the ocean was truly special. The soft sound of the waves, the bright summer sky, and the presence of their closest family and friends created a setting that felt both intimate and unforgettable.
Every wedding is unique, but ceremonies like this remind me why beach weddings remain some of my favorites to photograph.
Wedding Photo Session Along the Shoreline
Following the ceremony, we spent time creating a romantic photo session around the beach and surrounding areas of Sunken Meadow.
The location offered incredible variety, from sandy dunes and coastal grasses to panoramic ocean views. Clara and Brendan were incredibly natural together, making it easy to capture authentic moments throughout the session.
One of the highlights was photographing them during the evening light near the shoreline. As the day transitioned into sunset and eventually blue hour, the scenery transformed completely, allowing us to create dramatic and artistic portraits that perfectly reflected the mood of the day.
As a professional wedding photographer, these are often my favorite moments because the couple can finally slow down, enjoy each other’s company, and simply celebrate being newly married.

After the portraits, the celebration continued inside the Pavilion for an elegant reception.
The reception space was beautifully prepared and filled with excitement as guests gathered to celebrate Clara and Brendan. Heartfelt speeches, laughter, dancing, and countless memorable interactions filled the evening.
One particularly enjoyable moment was the cake cutting, where family and friends gathered around to share in another important tradition of the day. The joy and connection between everyone present made the reception feel warm, personal, and full of life.
Throughout the evening, it was clear how much love and support surrounded this couple.
